A. The refund policy is as follows:
Full Refund: A full refund will be issued if requested before the course commences. Partial Refund: Refunds are calculated on a monthly basis.
For example, if registration was made for a two-month course (first month + second month), and a refund is requested after the course has started:
The tuition fee for the first month has already elapsed by 1/3, so a 2/3 refund for the first month's tuition fee will be processed.
The tuition fee for the second month (as it hasn't commenced yet) will be refunded in full.
Before 1/3 of the course duration has elapsed from the start date: 2/3 refund of the tuition fee.
Before 1/2 of the course duration has elapsed from the start date: 50% refund of the tuition fee.
After 1/2 of the course duration has elapsed from the start date: No refund
Regarding Course Refunds: When requesting a refund, all benefits provided at the time of enrollment (such as early registration discounts, package discounts, online course linkage discounts, etc.) will be revoked after being restored to the regular tuition fee, and the refund amount will be calculated based on the regular tuition fee. In the case of minors, refunds will be processed in accordance with the refund policy upon parental consent (confirmed via telephone).
A. Boarding school success often hinges on your child's readiness to live independently abroad, with students typically thriving from 6th or 7th grade onwards. The choice between East Coast and West Coast depends on your child's preferences. 16H Lab conducts a thorough assessment of your child and parental requirements to determine the optimal choices for your child's future.
A. Living in a dorm on campus away from home offers priceless chances for personal development. Boarding school students often expedite the acquisition of life skills like time management, work ethic, and independence compared to their counterparts in public schools.
A. The earlier, the better. Optimal results emerge when preparation begins around the end of 8th grade; however, even if you're a sophomore, we're here to collaborate and unlock your maximum potential.
A. Our 1:1 tutoring services have limited availability and will be conducted exclusively through Zoom. A minimum commitment of 3 hours per week for 20 weeks is required.
A. For quality assurance, our class sizes are capped at a maximum of 10 students, and for our advanced classes, the limit is set to 6 students.
A. Identifying specific criteria is challenging, but typically, GPA, Extracurricular Activities, LOR (Letters of Recommendation), and personal essays play crucial roles. However, admission to desired schools isn't solely determined by these factors. At 16H LAB, we'll effectively navigate your transfer experience.
A. The usual timeline for a transfer application spans about 6 months, covering the decision to apply, school selection, application preparation, submission, and any potential appeals. However, aiming for transfer to a top 10 school in the US might extend this timeline due to the need for portfolio management, resume guidance, and other essential tasks to maintain quality. Transfer students, akin to high school students, meticulously choose courses, and starting the process from your freshman year in college if you're certain, is the optimal approach.
